Finding Your Own Light in the Darkness
Focus on Self-Compassion
There are moments in life when the world feels heavy, and the path ahead seems dim. It’s in these times that it can be easy to lose sight of our own light. We might feel broken, lost, or like we’re not enough. But I want to share a simple truth that has guided me: Your light is still there.
It’s not a grand, blazing sun all the time. Sometimes, it’s a flicker, a tiny candle flame that needs protection from the wind. It’s the small acts of kindness you show yourself, even when you don’t feel you deserve it. It’s the morning you get out of bed and face the day, despite the exhaustion. It’s the moment you choose to forgive yourself for a mistake.
Healing isn’t about becoming a new person; it’s about remembering who you’ve always been. It’s about tending to the parts of you that have been hurt and allowing them to shine again.
So, wherever you are on your journey today, I hope you can find a moment to be kind to yourself. You are worthy of love, light, and healing. You are already whole.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” โ John 1:5
